Phil Jones’ (Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Waddy Wachtel Band) first solo release is a six song EP in the fundamental rock/reggae style.  Four are written by Phil, along with two covers including the 1970 Crabby Appleton hit “Go Back” and the 1969 hit “Baby Come Back” by The Equals.  The music is world-rhythmic, driven by drums and percussion; it features powerful, gritty guitars with Memphis and New Orleans style horns; and is both anthemic and unpretentious.  Musicians include Spooner Oldham, Blondie Chaplin,…
